Adding Depth to a Card of the Day

"For my Card of the Day today, I added a spread card by picking one at random from the entire Deck of a 1,000 Spreads....the card was Past Lives, the tarot card picked was the 9 of swords, from the Sun and Moon Tarot, with the caption "cruelty".    

My intent for this combo is, how can I best use this past life influence today in the present?  I found it more insightful, than just picking a tarot card."
